The AFI Resource Center is your one-stop source for information on the Assets for Independence program and Individual Development Accounts (IDAs). Here you can quickly learn about the AFI program and IDAs, how to apply for an AFI grant, and how to administer an AFI project. AFI Performance Progress Report (PPR) Approved!

AFI grantees are now required to submit programmatic data using the AFI PPR. See the AFI PPR Overview page for details about reporting data from FY 2015 and beyond: http://idaresources.acf.hhs.gov/AFIPPR.

Open Letter to Data Management Providers

In order to help grantees transition to the new AFI PPR, OCS has published an open letter regarding changes to the data elements. Please review this letter and share it with your internal and/or external data management team.

Intensive Coaching for AFI Applicants

May 2016 AFI Grant Awards

AFI recently awarded 30 new AFI grants totaling over $7 million.

2016 Poverty Guidelines Released

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation has released the 2016 Poverty Guidelines. The Poverty Guidelines have a key role in eligibility determination for the Assets for Independence (AFI) program. Please make sure that your program policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
