Community Action Partnership of Riverside County is a community action agency with the objective of reducing poverty by helping low-income residents increase their personal economic assets.
Community Action Partnership of Riverside County (CAP Riverside) is a single-site grantee that emphasizes homeownership, postsecondary education, and/or business capitalization with the goal of creating 150 IDAs for TANF single heads of household with children and ‘working poor’ families living in poverty pockets in Riverside County. CAP Riverside launched its IDA Program in 1999 as a 5-year AFI demonstration Program and has received 5 previous AFI awards.
Community Action Partnership of Riverside County partners with the Center for Employment Training, which will refer potential candidates,; College of the Desert, which will refer potential candidates; Inland Counties Legal Services, which will provide community-based legal information and direct legal assistance; and Lutheran Social Services of Southern California, which will provide counseling, case management, substance abuse therapy, mental health therapy and other services.
